One of my favorite ways to explore the city is by bicycle. I have always enjoyed a good bike ride, but working at Alta has given me a new appreciation for the infrastructure that makes it so. Many cities face difficulties when attempting to develop complete bike networks and facilities that are safe for people of all ages and abilities—from funding issues to "bikelash." As a bicyclist, I would consider myself as part of the "Enthused & Confident" group in Roger Geller’s four types of cyclists. Chicago is a great city for cycling, but I do admit that you have to be both strong and fearless to feel confident biking here. I hope to see more complete and safe bike networks implemented across the country, and I'm proud to be part of a company that is leading the way to make this happen.
