American Planning Association California Chapter 2018 Public Outreach Award of Excellence
The SCAG Go Human Tactical Urbanism Events project has been awarded the 2018 Public Outreach Award of Excellence by the California Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA). A team led by Alta, including Street Plans Collaborative, StreetFilms, and Katherine Padilla & Associates, and partner communities, worked with the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) to develop and implement the 2016-2017 tactical urbanism component of “Go Human,” a region-wide safety and encouragement campaign. It was comprised of 10 events in 10 different locations. The Awards Ceremony will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 during the California APA Conference.
