Bikeshare ROW Summit 2017
The NABSA bikeshare Right of Way Summit will be an exploration of the various ways to accommodate the growing numbers of dockless bike share bicycles within the public right of way that minimizes impact to pedestrian traffic, ADA accessibility, transit access, and clutter. Alta’s bikeshare expert Phil Goff will focus on potential designs for on-street parking pods, sidewalk parking zones and use of signage. Others will focus on non-physical methods includes using pinpoint geofencing strategies, creating virtual bike parking corridors and pricing mechanisms to encourage people to park dockless bikes in appropriate locations.
