The American Planning Association (APA) and the National Physical Activity Society (NPAS) will host a discussion on integrating health in planning. Chris Danley, Alta planner and President of NPAS, will discuss his experiences working at the intersection of planning and public health. Chris is an expert in combining health research with active transportation best practices, having experience conducting over a dozen Health Impact Assessments. Alta is known as an industry leader in integrating health and creating an equity-based approach: from the upstream data collection and research framework, to data analysis and informing planning and design products, to evaluating the downstream impacts and measurable outcomes.
This session will include an overview of the Healthy Communities Collaborative at APA as well as an introduction to NPAS, as well as a case study from Chris’ portfolio. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, March 29 from 3-4 PM EST. Register for the webinar here.
