My reason for working towards becoming a landscape architect is born out of my positive experiences actively interacting in the environment - running, jumping, playing, biking and skating. My passion for these pursuits paints the way I see and react to every landscape.
Beginning with his eagle scout project designing and implementing a drought tolerant educational garden at a local pre-school, Alexander realized a passion for the interface between art and botany. Influenced by this experience, Alexander went to school at UCSB, majoring in environmental studies with a concentration in plant biology and quickly latched onto the profession of landscape architecture, finding his way to Cal Poly Pomona to pursue a graduate degree directly after. Alexander looks forward to gaining more experience in the field with Alta with a particular interest in multi-use trails and designing for equity/inclusivity.
