Jason Reyes, AICP

I entered this field with the goal of creating healthier communities and healthier ecosystems through the design (and redesign) of our built environment. Over the past 14 years, I’ve been fortunate to learn from and collaborate with many talented and knowledgeable people who are working towards these same goals. I am continually inspired by the work of my colleagues at Alta, and by the people I meet from the different cities and organizations with which I work. My personal mission is to carry out each task for each project as well as I possibly can, so that our clients and their communities can enthusiastically adopt and implement our plans.

Jason has over 12 years of experience in city and regional planning for active transportation, greenway systems, and land conservation. During that time, he has contributed to more than 100 projects in 10 states, serving in multiple roles as project manager, facilitator, analyst, writer, graphic designer, and cartographer. One of his projects received the Excellence in Sustainability Award from the American Planning Association, and several earned awards for Outstanding Professional Achievement and Outstanding Planning from state-level APA and ASLA chapters. Jason has a master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin, School of Architecture, where he served as the president of his program and received awards for excellence in design.
