Our people make the difference.

Kaitlin Scott

Kaitlin has a background in active transportation planning and urban design and has experience working in private, public, and nonprofit sectors. She received her Master of Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA, where she focused on urban design, tactical urbanism, and inclusive outreach tactics. At Alta, Kaitlin focuses on pedestrian planning and issues of safety, accessibility, and equity, through both planning and programs projects.

“Despite the uncomfortable and unsafe conditions of my hometown's auto-centric streets, I always preferred to be biking or walking. This preference eventually led me to pursue a career in active transportation planning. I see streets as our largest public space, so they should be safe, accessible, equitable, and engaging. I'm so excited to work at a firm that is improving streets for all users.”
