When I was a kid, I wanted to design freeways when I grew up. Over my ensuing career, I learned that cars are not the solution for all our transportation needs. The ability to walk and bike to destinations of our choosing is an important component of a holistic and comprehensive transportation system and I am proud to be able to contribute to the evolution of these modes of travel.
