My career is guided by using a multi-disciplined, innovative, and inclusive planning practices approach towards implementing sustainable transit design solutions. In order to plan for the future, we have to understand our past and current history.


Yes is first generation El Salvadoran American, who was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University where he earned a B.S. in Geography & Urban Studies. After learning about the world of planning he traveled to Florida State University and received a Master’s of Science in Planning, specializing in Planning for Autonomous Vehicles (AV), Urban Design, GIS, and LGBTQ+ communities.
